Electrical compatibility
Review supply and logic levels, connector pinouts, grounding, loads and startup order. A shared protocol name does not establish electrical compatibility.
Integration design
Establish power, signal, data and control requirements before connecting the system's components.
System architecture and interface definitions
A component can operate correctly on its own yet be incompatible with the surrounding system. Integration design examines electrical limits, data interpretation and command timing together, giving board, firmware and application development a common specification.
Review supply and logic levels, connector pinouts, grounding, loads and startup order. A shared protocol name does not establish electrical compatibility.
Agree units, coordinate systems, validity flags and timing. Distinguish new measurements, retained state and placeholders before using a value elsewhere in the system.
Assign command authorisation, state storage and interruption response. Specify which component stops an output, rather than leaving two components to assume the other handles it.
Engineering process
Show the components and the power, signal and data paths between them. Identify each component's role.
Specify relevant pinouts, message structures, update rates and exceptional states for each connection.
Link one real input to an observable output through the system. Use this limited implementation to identify incompatible assumptions.
Integrate the remaining functions against the same specifications. Check relevant startup, invalid-data and interruption cases.
Depending on the agreed scope
The assignment must identify the systems and access available. Interface review does not imply safety assessment, regulatory compliance or third-party platform guarantees.
Project experience
PCB design + embedded firmware
The CAN project assigns handheld input processing and relay control to separate boards. The available material documents PCB and firmware development.
Project details
Sensing + prototype firmware
The IMU and LiDAR prototype acquires orientation and distance in a defined sequence before producing feedback.
