Device interfaces & applications

Browser interfaces for device control and telemetry.

Control panels, status views and gateway software that connect application inputs to embedded hardware.

Device-facing applications

  • Device status
  • Command handling
  • Diagnostics

Represent the device's actual state

A map or control panel needs to reflect the information available from the device. AUBRIX's application work focuses on translating telemetry, displaying status and sending commands through defined hardware interfaces.

01

Data validity and connection status

Distinguish missing positions, stale updates and disconnected devices from valid readings. Separate zero from no data, and a requested action from the device's reported state.

02

Control actions and sessions

Define how press, hold and release actions translate into commands. The application and device must agree which session a command belongs to and when it should stop applying.

03

Existing application services

Retain accounts, payments and unrelated services where the assignment concerns only control or telemetry. A device interface does not necessarily require a complete application rewrite.

Engineering process

Project
process.

  1. 01

    Define operator requirements

Establish what users need to see or control and what information the device can provide.

  2. 02

    Specify the data model

Map device values and events to the interface, including validity and connection status.

  3. 03

    Integrate the device path

Connect the gateway or messaging layer and check the intended device interaction, beyond the screen layout alone.

  4. 04

    Test interrupted interactions

Check delayed updates, control release and reconnection as relevant. Document limits on what the interface can establish about the device.

Depending on the agreed scope

Project
deliverables.

  • A device-facing interface for the agreed tasks
  • Data and command integration
  • Configuration and setup instructions
  • Checks for relevant user and connection states

The focus is software connected to embedded hardware. Additional application features require separate agreement; service accounts and credentials remain under their owner's control.
